On a very warm and windless Palmares golf course the SDM ladies held there first ever away day.

Eileen Groves donating the trophy which will be held annually.

Some very high scores achieved on a tough Palmares course Eileen herself walking away with the top prize!

A fantastic turnout of nineteen ladies had a great day out at Palmares followed by lunch and prize giving at Lindas Bar on Meia Praia Beach.

Lots of prizes to be won, nearest the pin prizes were kindly donated by Pippa Tennant and Lynn Cook.

Eileen Groves stole the show with a magnificent 43 points followed closely by Sue Goodwin 41 points and Pippa Tennant 39 points.

Well done to Pippa who nearly had to pull out due to a bad back.

Eileen nearly stole the show on the nearest the pin prizes missing only one green on the par threes but still managed to secure one of the prizes.

The other nearest the pin prizes went to

Pippa Tennant / Karen Huxtable and Wendy Emrich .

3rd Pippa Tennant 39 points
